It doesn't look like it Onou. Which is sad because this was "revived" such a long time ago. I miss the old days...

Hello! Anyone in this group still active?

  3. Hooyaah May 19, 2012

A friend asked for my advice regarding a young lady that he knew who was struggling with the issue of bisexuality and wanting to indulge in it partly out of curiosity and partly to be "noble" an show tolerance. Here is what I shared with him hoping to offer some sound advice:

I don't want to see you give up on her either. At some point when someone becomes numb to their sin and no longer is reminded by their conscience, sensing that something feels wrong, it becomes much more difficult to help them, primarily because they don't want to be "rescued". That fact notwithstanding, remind her that Jesus saved the prostitute from being stoned, explaining that "let they who are without sin cast the first stone" which meant, of course, that no one was in a position to judge her as they were imperfect and had gone against God's Law as well. God loves us even after we have fallen into sin. So much that He sent his son Jesus to teach us and eventually bear the punishment that we deserved. His blood was shed that we receive its cleansing power and by accepting Him by we then have Him in us, never abandoning us, teaching we, His children, to learn to grow each day how to follow Him and turn from our sinful ways. We had deserved death for our sins but now we can choose Life. Jesus set examples that we should follow, that we should love everyone, irregardless of their sinful lifestyles, accept that they are imperfect as we all are. It is an important point that we should not abandon God's Law and fall into sin with them. This is why we all have to choose to follow Him and set an example by our choosing the correct path. When we fall or find ourselves astray we must ask again for forgiveness, brush ourselves off (turn from sin) and follow Him once more. God could not abide to see the terrible sin present in Sodom and Gomorrah so He destroyed it utterly. The sin of homosexuality and bisexuality were rife in those towns. If we make ourselves clean by following His commandments and accept the Salvation offered by the sacrifice of Jesus, His Son, we have Salvation. He knew that there was no longer any hope for the citizens of those despicably evil and debauched towns. Remember, God abhors the sin, but He yet loves the sinner, so we should love others but not follow their sinful ways. Sin is sin, there are no degrees to sin in the eyes of The Father. If your friend met some people who robbed banks would she accept their lifestyles and follow in their path to show "noble toleration" or would she flee? What if they were pedophiles, or drug dealers? Where does one draw the line? We choose to stay where God drew the line. The side where we He is, that side that is without sin, the place where we can observe sin, still loving those on the other side, entreating them to join us and have Eternal Life.

    That's a really good story, Hoo-kun :3

It's not often people who believe in God are portrayed in an unbiased or intelligent manner.

Did God Create everything that exists? Does evil exist? Did God create evil?

A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question: "Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes He did!"

"God created everything?" The professor asked.

"Yes sir, He certainly did," the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then we can assume that God is evil."

The student became quiet and did not answer the professor's hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?"

    "Of course", replied the professor."

The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"

"What type of question is this? Of course it exists. have you never been cold?"

The other students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied, "Once again, you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color."

"You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's inhumanity to man. it is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

    The professor sat down.

The young man's name - Albert Einstein

Wow, that was a great link, Hoo-kun owo

  7. Hooyaah Apr 22, 2012

For what reason did God, The Father give us free will? Here, following, is a link which is a more in depth explanation based on a compilation of scriptures from The Bible and in keeping with my personal beliefs. Because we have the Salvation that He provided us through His Son, Yahushuwah, (the transliteration of the name of The Son most refer to as Jesus) we have chosen to follow Him and have a path to the Father via His Son. When we fail and find ourselves in sin we must only ask for forgiveness, addressing the sin, and turning from it, we move toward the way that He has set before us, clean once again.

    Free Will

I have witnessed such miracles as well. I would ask any who visit and have Christian friends to tell them of this group. We all need support and the world is difficult to tackle without like minded Christians who support one another. I hope that we can find this a place of learning and of comfort.

  10. Princess-Sophitia Dec 05, 2011

Oh yes, I hope so too ^^ At the church service today, it was amazing. The pastor's father came up and talked about the miracles he had witnessed because of praying boldly. He mentioned when he was younger a woman he knew had a severe rash or burn on her hand. She was unable to do her job properly and was told that she would be fired by the next Monday if it wasn't healed. The man prayed boldly for healing, and on Monday morning the woman's hand was completely healed. It was just awesome to see this 84-year old man speaking with such energy and excitement!

Don't forget to thank Hoo-kun too, because he took the initiative and actually revived the group ^^

Well, I just wanted to say I guess I've been inspired by a new series my church has been doing called "Bold", which is basically about how disciples in the Bible were very bold about their faith, and in being that way, God allowed miracles to happen through them. I personally am very shy and timid in nature, so this was very inspirational for me, knowing that people have such faith that they can be bold about it in the face of persecution :o

  15. Hooyaah Nov 30, 2011

Greetings, this group is active once again, thanks to Mr. LeafSapphire's request. Please join me in thanking him for finding this group and asking that it be revived.

I am very Blessed to know and Join this group so very much, along with you all my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. =]

  18. oldmanpoo Dec 22, 2010

Yeah, sorry about that. I joined this group back when I first actually registered at Minitokyo in 2006, and only came here once. I'm not much in the way of conversational skills (Facebook and MySpace can burn for all I care), but this was the first and only group I joined, just for the heck of it, and I'll probably remain in this group till its end, whether I participate or not.

So, in the spirit of Christmas:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

May peace be with you this holiday season.

This week is the Youth revival at my church.. we did a fast of all electronics from 8pm-6am. den a fast of food to close it. lemme tell u. i rly feel that i got closer to God. tonite was the first night and wen u fst, make sure u pray. fasting and prayer together puts you on that spiritual line, and u communicat with God. and form an intimate relation ship wit him. pur theme is "Slow Down and Wait" my Lord, thank you. we go about doin things daily. it all becomes a ruteen (cnt spell) and we dont have any meaning behind it. we go to church, but its just part of the schedual. we 4 get why we are there. we are preoccupied by other things. and rly. as we are just speedin to get to our next destination. God is gunna pull us over and give us a ticket. cuz when Gods tryna tllk to you, he puts the speed limits in place, signs are alll over. but we shut our eyes and do our own thing. then God intervinves. God puts us in situations that will open our eyes and make us away of our limits. make us rely on him. show us that no, we are not in charge but he is. he wants us to cmmit to him. we read 2Chronicles 20:1-12. Jehoshaphat fasted and prayed. and when he prayed he commited to the Lord. He didnt say Lord heres what i want to do and e=get up and leave with the plan. he did say my problem is this and set off to fix the problem. he didnt say God u have to do this and this this way. he just went be fore God, se it before him and walked away, leaving it all with God. Jehoshaphat had been in aliance with an a non God fearing king. and he didnt know he was sinning cuz he was so conditioned. he was desenseatized to it. but God put enemies against him so Jehoshaphat wud open his eyes and see he needed the Lord and leen upon him. He brought to God and walked away trusting that the Lord wud take care of it. (this is sum gud stuff) wen u commit, u dnt carry it with u. u give it to God, he knows what to do, how to do , and when. he is God alone. know need to worry. be still trust him. my God, there is so many points to Slow down and Wait. but all i got to say is. slow your role. make sure you do things with a purpose, praise with purpose. form that connection with God. b/c once you know who he is, then u know who you are. and our Father is the king of everything. when we know who we are in him, we have dominion over all. enemies will not get the best of us, nor our problems. but we have to slow down and wait. -Psalms 46 is where we got our them.. seriouse stuff. to hot for this world. take a leep of faith. shoot dnt know bout all of you out there. but Lord im Ready!
